* I am going to see the doctor tomorrow.

On Friday my boyfriend and I had sex 4 times during a 7-hour period. Before being successful during the 4th time, he had tried entering me from the back. I was very dry at that point and only the head of his penis went inside but it hurt like no other. So we waited and tried again. The sex was good, but slightly painful.

On Saturday night I felt a stinging pain below my vagina. I noticed extremely small dots of blood on my underwear. There have been none since. The pain is only at that external point, the area right outside the bottom of my vagina. It hurts to walk and it stings like heck when urine passes over that area. I checked myself in the mirror and that area is now swollen. :/

Any suggestions on reducing the pain that I am feeling right now? I am going to see my doctor tomorrow. I am hoping to stay infection-free. My partner and I are both STI-free so I do not believe this is an STD. Of course I will be abstaining from sex until I am fully healed.

And those who have experienced this before, how long did it take you to heal?

I agree, it sounds like you got a tear. If it's on the outside, you can probably dab on whatever is safe for external use, and perhaps spritz yourself with a squirt bottle when you urinate. (Drinking a lot of water may dilute your urine, too, and help it sting less.)

BTW, the VP mods will ask you to edit your post to change "clean" to "STI-free" or the like -- using "clean" suggests that people who have STIs are "dirty," when really, all an STI is... is an infection, like catching someone's cold or the flu. (And implying that people are "dirty" may make people go into denial and not seek health care for the infection, both spreading it around and potentially doing themselves injury for it. Which is certainly not good!)

Good luck! I hope the damage heals quickly.

Thanks for the change! (And the mods'd be cool about it, too -- they understand that the term is used all over the place, after all, and it's a deliberate shift in mindset to use a different term.)

I had a tear once...oy...I had been celibate for over a year and it was one of the first times I had sex after that. It actually bled a whole lot. But it only took about a week to heal.

It sounds like a vaginal tear to me. I've experienced the same thing, also due to frequent sex/entry from behind.

If I don't use treatment and I don't abstain from sexual activity, it takes about a week to heal.

I found, however, that it helps to use just a bit on Polysporin on the external bleeding/painful area. Using that plus abstaining from sexual activity, it takes about 2-3 days to heal.

Good luck!

ouch, been there, sister. :P I'm in a long distance relationship....so when we're able to have sex, we generally have a lot of it. We did a lot of rear entry last time he was here, and it was all kinds of painful. Unfortunately, I don't know anything that makes it better but time. (and abstaining from sex). Usually, if we've been particularly 'active' and I'm extra sore, I find that it'll take 2 or 3 days before it stops hurting when I'm doing normal things like walking/ peeing. Then I may be vaguely uncomfortable for another day or two, but I've never felt discomfort for longer than a week.

Feel better!

Ibuprofen helps with swelling and you could also try pouring cool water over the swollen part, it's very soothing for all kinds of irritation in that area.
