So I'm just wondering...

Lost virginity on Jan 7th/08. Had sex multiple times.  Had sex again on Jan 10th/08. He ejaculated inside me every time.

Had period on December 25th/07 for 3 days

Could I be  pregnant? If so, how far along? And when would my due date be? I'm trying to figure that out, but I'm confused. Help?

edit
i had a bit of spotting in january.
i looked at due date calculaters and they say around 8 weeks...but that doesn't make sense, does it?
OH sorry. editing again. And I was on the pill. Alesse 28. I havent ever missed a pill.

Did you have a period in January?

Have you taken a pregnancy test?

Oh, and here is a link to an online pregnancy Date calculator. It would help you figure out dates. http://www.intmed.mcw.edu/clincalc/pregnancy.html

Yes, anytime you have unprotected sex there is a chance of getting pregnant. Unless you are physically, emotionally, and financially ready to commit to becoming someone's parent please use a condom or other birth control.

that was more than a little rude and uncalled for

i don't think it was rude at all. it's the simple truth.

How is the truth rude? She never said anything about being on the pill in her OP when I posted this. All she said that she had PIV sex multiply times and he ejaculated inside of her.

No biggie. If you are one the pill I doubt you are pregnant. You can always take a test just to be sure.

I don't find this rude. Not particularly helpful, but not rude either.

it's alright. it came up when i refreshed my fl.

i'd get a pregnancy test just to make sure.

but if you haven't missed a pill, it is very unlikely.

do you take the pill every day at the same time?

there's a chance you may be pregnant but it's a very small chance.

Hi, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. We're commenting because your attitude and wording do not foster what we consider safe space (http://www.vaginapagina.com/index.php?title=VaginaPagina_FAQ#What_is_.22Safe_Space.22.3F_What_does_.22empowerment.22_mean.3F) here in the community.

Specifically, you presume a lot when you tell the OP to use birth control, and when you assume that unprotected sex necessarily leads to parenthood. While the OP's post does not specifically address birth control, it also does not ask for advice regarding birth control use or other potential reproductive choices.

Did you use birth control?

I believe that due date calculatiors base dates on the first day of your last period.

oh, if you were using your pills correctly there is a very small chance you are pregnant. More than likely you aren't. I can't remember the exact effectiveness of the pill (off the top of my head) but a lot of women use it as their only birth control and have no problems.

I would take a pregnancy test just to ease your mind. =)

OP -- for some reason your edited text isn't showing up correctly. I'm not sure why...do you have some weird formatting issues going on?

Only about 4-6 women out of 100 get pregnant in a whole year of taking the pill typically. So your chances of pregnancy right now are extremely small. When was your last hormone-free week?

In general, it's pretty normal to miss a period once in awhile while on hormonal birth control. So while taking an HPT may give you a concrete answer one way or the other, you are not likely to be pregnant if you took your pills correctly.

But for future reference, pregnancy is calculated from the first day of your last period. (In other words, most women not on HBC are about two weeks "pregnant" retroactively when they conceive.) This isn't a perfect system obviously, but it's how it works.

So theoretically, if you were pregnant (and once again, if you have taken pills correctly, it's doubtful) you would technically be about 7 weeks now.

Also re: your edit... when was your spotting in January? Was it during your last hormone-free week? How long have you been on HBC?

I'll note that for some users (like me!), one of the side-effects of HBC is that all of our "periods" turn into really brief spotting. For instance, after a number of months on any given brand, my "periods" become about 24 hours of light, brownish spotting.

I've heard many other women report this effect as well -- since one of the effects of HBC is to thin the uterine lining, many of us experience light or extremely light, almost nonexistent, periods as a result.

IAWTC (both of them).

A bit more on pregnancy dating...as [livejournal.com profile] queensugar said, if you're told you're eight weeks pregnant, that means you conceived roughly six weeks ago. The reason for this is that most women are more certain about the dates of their last menses than they are of the date of conception (since sex often happens more than once in a menstrual cycle!), and most women ovulate and are therefore able to get pregnant mid-cycle - two weeks after their last period, two weeks before the next is due. So, even if you've only been pregnant for six calendar weeks, you're considered by ob/gyn standards to be eight weeks pregnant.

(For the record, if you've used the pill correctly - you mentioned you've never missed a pill, but have you been taking them all at the same time of day, too? - the odds of you being pregnant are quite slim.)

why do you think you'd be pregnant if you had your period before you lost your virginity?

did you miss a period? why are you concerned? if you're on HBC and using your pills correctly, there is a teeny tiny itty bitty chance of pregnancy.

From your edit? You are unlikely to be pregnant. Hormonal birth control often causes women to have lighter periods, or even no periods at all -- the uterine lining just doesn't build up enough to slough off anything noticeable.

Go ahead and grab a pregnancy test if it will help you feel better, though! Stars know, I've done that before, just for peace of mind, when I was pretty darn sure that it was going to give me the negative result that it did. O:>

well for me and some of my friends, when we lost our virginity it messed up the period after. I was 8 days late and my friend was 6. So it just might be a reaction, but if you are on your BC (and taking it correctly) you shouldnt have anything to worry about. if you are just worried, take a test and find out.

hope everything goes well :)

I don't understand why you would think you're pregnant if you're on the pill. HBC can cause you to skip a period; it's nothing to worry about.

Teehee.

When I was in high school, I was on the pill and used condoms and made my bf pull out (at least for the first few months) and I still worried about it.

The fear just gradually lessened as I had more sex :)
