Someone referred me to this comm for help, so here I am.

First of all, I had a yeast infection a month or so ago. It started off with the odor and crusty discharge in my underwear, then after a while of ignoring it, came the horrible itching. So I used Monostat for a while, drank lots of cranberry juice, and the odor and discharge eventually stopped, but since then the itching has only gotten WORSE. It's completely unbearable. I have little bumps here and there on the outside of my vagina (pardon my lack of adequate terminology) where the pubic hair grows, and I'm not entirely sure if they're genital warts; they just feel like ordinary pimples. And I know I can't have an STD because my last sex partner was back in the summer, and he had no STIs/STDs.

Secondly, I recently made some changes to my health insurance, so I can't schedule to see a gynecologist until my new cards come in.

Is there any possible way to relieve the itching until then? I've tried Vagisil, Cortisone, and Itch-X and none of them seem to help any.

I definitely feel your pain. I have the exact same thing going on pretty much. I'm a little over 35 weeks pregnant and at my last OB appointment I was diagnosed with BV and was given Clindesse to treat it with. I used the medicine and am now back with the horrible itch and bumpy areas. It's driving me insane! My doctor did say that putting some baking soda in some bath water (just enough to cover your bottom) and sitting in it for maybe 15 minutes at a time will help relieve the itching. I tried it and it does help some but it's still annoying! She also suggested hydrocortisone cream which did nothing. Vagisil cream only helps relieve the dry feeling I get but does nothing for the actual itch.

The way my OB's office did my insurance was they backdated it or something. I can't remember exactly how it was done. They just told me to bring in my cards when I received them and if I received a bill to ignore it. Call up your Gyn's office and tell them your situation and they will be able to tell you what to do or what you need so that you can go in asap. The longer it's left untreated the worse it will get and the longer it will take to get better. I know for a fact an itch like I have is something you want looked at asap! =/
