On the 30th, I forgot to take my pill but took it the next day along with my pill for that night (the 31st)... I don't have a predictable cycle AT ALL... but it's usually somewhere in between 28 and 31 days long, today would be the 30th day. I haven't had sex since my last period so I'm thinking I'm in the clear...

Has anyone's cycle (and I use that term losely) ever been thrown off, and by how many days, due to missing one day? Thanks!

You don't really have a "cycle" on hormonal birth control other than the one the pill sets for you. When do you start your placebo week? It's totally normal to start your withdrawal bleeding at any time during that week.

It's pretty normal to skip a period now and then on hormonal birth control. How long have you been on the pill? When is or was your placebo week?

The placebos are the last week in your pack. For OTC-Lo, these are the green pills (the white, light blue, and dark blue pills have hormones in them). What colour are you into now, and how far in?

Yes, it does. Your period is supposed to arrive during your placebo week. Once the pill has succesfully regulated your period, that is when bleeding is supposed to occur. As I said before, you have no "cycle" on the pill other than the one it sets for your body.

In short; you haven't missed a period yet, because your bleeding is due to arrive sometime in the next eight days.

No problem.

It sounds to me like your body spent a few months adjusting to the pill's cycle; that's why you started bleeding during active pills before. That's very common, especially for the first three months (which is about how long it took you!)

Now, your body has probably gotten in synch, and from now on you should experience bleeding at some point during the placebo week. It can start anytime in that week, so don't fret if it doesn't come on the first, second, or third placebo pill. :)
