Hello I'm new..
teehee..
I'm Petal , 19 lesbian from New York..

Here is my issue for today..
I just got my period..After not having it for over 8 months..
and I am bleeding like not really heavy..but not really light either..
It's and on off day..
But anyhow, so , I have been feeling very very depressed since I got it..
And it's been here almost 5 days I think..maybe less..maybe 4..
So I don't know if this is normal..
I mean, the cramps are really unbearing..
They make me want to just cry or be held by my girlfriend..
Just anything to make all this nasty pain go away..
Also I cain't stand the smell..I cain't stand any smell..
But this smell is just weird..
*sighs*
Well hope everyone say a good day..
teehee..

Petal:)

wow... ok, last week on PMS i was being made queasy by "normal" smells. just amused by the coincidence that you mentioned this.

anyhow... are you taking ibuprofen or something for the cramps? making your body physically feel better is a first step towards making your mood lighten up, though not a full "solution" of course.... hope you feel better, anyhow! sorry i'm not too awake right now

well, aleve is similar to ibuprofen so i'm glad you're not taking the one if you're taking the other :) quick way to overdose on things that irritate the stomach (in overdosed amounts).. nofun.

Hey Petal

It is not "normal" or healthy to go over 8 months without a period. As a 27 y/o who ignored just such a symptom since I was your age or younger I am now facing a hysterectomy THIS WEEK. I would recommend getting it checked out. Go to an OB/GYN. S/he should run a TSH/LH/FSH and CBC.

Regarding your other symptoms . . . is your flow "normal" for you? Length? Strength? Smell? Cramps?

Hun, you can have HELLACIOUS cramping when you miss for several months! The smell can be worse too, since you are shedding several months worth.

A TSH will tell your doc if your thyroid could be to blame.

LH/FSH will check your hormone levels.

CBC will check to see if the smell could be from an infective process.

Ibuprofen was a good recommendation. You can take 800 mg 3 times a day if it is really bad.

Now take care of YOU and see a doc will ya.
