Near Constant Period

I am 19 and I've been having my period since I was 11 and my periods have always been very painful. They usually only lasted 2-3 days, but for those days I would have constant pain and threw up a lot. I tried various types of birth control but they only seemed to make me more sick.

Seven months ago I had a baby and my periods returned regularly following. I had no pain or anything during this period. Then in September I got my period and I have had it almost constantly since, with one or two day times where I didn't have it. It stopped a week ago and has not returned.

Since September my period pains have been almost constant and my flow has been varying from moderate to very heavy. Sometimes the pain isn't very bad and other times it is so bad that I've vomited. My back and legs have been aching and cramped constantly.

I have had various blood tests that all came out normal and I had an ultrasound two weeks ago that was also normal. I have another appointment with my dr on monday in order to discuss what to do from this point.

So anyways. I was wondering if any of you lovely ladies have had the same problem, and if so what kind of diagnoses was made and through which means?

Have any of your HCPs brought up endometriosis, fibroids or PCOS?

No they haven't. I've got an appointment on monday to discuss whatever we're going to try now. Honestly I feel like I am getting the brush off as if this wasn't a big deal.

I might bring these up at the appointment.

Yeah, I got the brush off for almost twenty years before someone finally said, Hmm, I think you have endometriosis and/or adenomyosis! Be persistent, and be insistent. Something is clearly awry.

Endometriosis seems to be the one my symptoms correlate too the most. I was doing some digging after you mentioned it in your first comment and they even described some things I've noticed but didn't think they were relevant (ie. bowel issues during menstruation). Thank you so much for you're help I'm definatly going to mention it with the Dr.

Yes, that was the one that seemed the most likely suspect based on the information you gave. I definitely found that my symptoms got way, way worse after the birth of my daughter.

The ERC has a Yahoo group that you may find helpful if endo seems to be the issue.
