Yet another clitoris question.

I know, I know, yet another clitoris question.  Some of you may recognize me, since I had a very similar question last time, but there's been some changes, and I've noticed something (a pattern, if you will) that I was wondering about.

Ah, the clitoris, the most magical and confusing body part I have. 
Well, so over the last year or so, it's gone through a certain pattern:  A small, dark red spot will appear at the very top (under the surface, it's NOT a wart or sore), as if there's a cut beneath the skin.  After a day it'll fade into a faint streak, and then vanish over the next week or so.  I think this has happened (now, since it's happening AGAIN) around 3 times I can remember.

Recently I had a change in the pattern, when it had a small, translucent blister there (painless, so I'm not thinking STD material), and a slight swelling just beneath it.

So that goes away, and I'm back into the "faint red streak" phase again.  This is all painless, it just.. is distracting and looks strange.  I mean, it hurts when I press down on it, but I've always been sensitive so I don't find that to be so strange.  And I should mention, none of this has ever become 'infected', spread or bled outwards.   I'm wanting to think it's all just irritation from me not being gentle to that area *cough*, but I really have no idea, since I haven't kept track of anything like that (and it seemed that Nothing provoked this latest change)

So yeah.  Does this sound familiar to anyone?

It kind of sounds like a blood blister, is it getting pinched in some way to cause one maybe?

A blood blister? Never quite heard of that... can you go into a little more detail? (From the name alone, I'm thinking a big 'Possibly')

I don't think that anyone here can tell you for sure.

If it's just the clit being enlarged or engorged sometimes and not at others that could merely be hormonal. But, it really sounds like something that you should talk to a doctor about. As far as STDs I don't think that they always have pain accompanying them. Bottom line is, if you are concerned go get yourself checked out.

It being hormonal is a definite possibility, now that you mention it...

I do plan to get everything looked at inevitably, I'm just wanting to get a general idea of the (potential) seriousness of the situation first :)

I don't know if this is possible or not, but I get something extremely similar on my gums. My dentist said it was due to stress. My gums flare up and it feels like they're covered in cuts and sores, then they heal. They come back when I get stressed out.

It might be really ridiculous to compare the two, but it could be a possibility? All else fails, see a doctor, I suppose.

Hmm... I suppose it could be possible, since skin is skin, and some reactions can be universal. Stress could also explain the irregular appearances... I'll jot it down on my list of ideas, thanks.
