I discovered something pretty awesome about myself last night that I thought you lovely VPers would like to know- maybe it'll even help someone out!
Recently (over the last 6 months or so) I've been able to have G-spot orgasms within no more than 5 minutes of penetration. Sounds lovely, right? Well, the problem was that I found it really, REALLY hard to enjoy sex after them. Like, enough that I would just have to stop rather than struggle though it to try and satisfy my hubband, too. It got pretty disappointing, and penetrative sex (which I love!) was turning into a struggle to host off for as long as possible. It was just no fun at all.
I found out two weeks ago that my 4-odd years of back problems (which have been greatly worsened over the past 6-odd months) were due to three ruptured and torn discs in my back. I was told that part of the problems with it could have an effect on bladder and bowel function. A week ago I had a steroid shot in my back, and last night, we had sex.
No G-spot orgasm.
It was AWESOME. I was able to relax and have fun and it was great! I doubt it's a very common side effect, but I think the discs were probably just pressing on the nerve and screwing with it- and now they aren't! Horray!! Who knew not having orgasms would be so awesome?

Date: 2007-10-23 03:35 am (UTC)I myself had a herniated disc (not ruptured though.) I didn't have weird orgasms, but I had a lot of pain, and weird involuntary physical reactions. After a couple months of PT, I felt a considerably better, and after starting a regular Pilates practice, I felt a lot better. I still keep up my maintenance PT exercises and Pilates, which have considerably improved my quality of life.
