Hello everyone.
Ok, first time poster here, long time reader! I'm being very paranoid right now and would really like some advice/insight.
I had sex last night with this guy I've hooked up with a few times. We did it twice with a condom, cause I insisted. But then this morning, we were just fooling around (him trying to wake me up type thing) and all of the sudden, it was "in" and being in that sleepy daze, I went with it. He didn't finish inside of me, and i finished him off manually. Then stupid me allowed it to happen again sans condom.
Now I know I need to now get checked for STI's and such, which I plan on doing sometime this week, but my main question/ paranoid concern is this:
I'm currently on Yaz, just started my new pack last tuesday (so am going on to the second to last pink pill for week one). I take it pretty much religiously (have a timer on my phone so I never miss a dose by more than MAYBE 3 minutes). He had cleaned himself up after I got him off manually, so I don't THINK there would have been anything on him still. Nonetheless I am slightly concerned.I'm not sure if I should go and get plan b or not.
I should probably mention that yesterday morning I threw up a little (more like spit up, nothing major) from drinking the night before. But it was very minimal, and according to the instructions in the Yaz booklet, you only need to worry about using backup if you vomit within 4 hours of your pill (I take mine at 4:20 pm and this was at about 8 or 9 am the following day). So to sum it up:

*had sex (twice protected, twice unprotected) last night
*Currently on Yaz since May never misses a pill
*Had some slight vomiting yesterday morning, but more than 4 hours after taking Yaz.

I really want to know if I should go and get plan b. I don't necessarily WANT to be putting more hormones etc than necessary into my body, but if there's a decent chance I could be pregnant, maybe I should?

[livejournal.com profile] lime_robot is right -- hormonal birth control is designed to be a standalone method, and since you've been taking yours correctly you should be a-okay as far as pregnancy goes. You can read more about HBC

Getting checked for STIs is a good idea, though, since you're not certain of your partner's STI status.
