Hi everyone!

So for the past few days, I've noticed some crusties in my panties, and when I checked, I noticed that the inside of my vagina looks really yellow and crusty, not good at all! The crusty stuff sort of crumbles to the touch, and it's a little stinky down there, kind of a milk gone bad smell.

If this keeps up I'll probably go to the doctor, but any idea what the problem could be? I don't think it's a yeast infection because I've never had one before.

Thanks!

<3 Lynne

EDIT: Okay, so I called the doctor and I can't get in for about a week. The crusties are really itchy, so any ideas? I forgot to mention earlier that it could be some cheerios, I thought I got them all out but maybe not. So if anyone has any tips for bringing the itchies down for a few days....

There's a first time for everything, including yeast infections. It could also be some form of bacterial infection, like BV.

Is there any chance it could be an STD? Have you started on any new birth control, antibiotics, other pills or anything like that?

I imagine it could be the cheerios. If you experience any itching or pain or weirder discharge, I'd head to the doctor, though. You won't want anything turning into a full blown infection, because it could do some serious lasting harm!

1. the discharge plus the itch sounds like a yeast infection.

2. how did you get cheerios up your vagina?

ohhh okay. that makes more sense. I was picturing a toddler waking you up by shoving cheerios up there.

...yeah, that sounds like a good mixture for BV. maybe boric acid or garlic or yogurt could help with the itch.

I'm not sure what you mean by squidgy...but they are honest to goodness, effective methods.

considering you may or may not have cheerios in your vag, i wouldn't get squicky about things like yogurt.

:shrugs: it seems like an odd place to get fastidious to me, especially since you're not feeling comfortable now, and they might help.

What exactly do you do when you want to use boric acid to get rid of BV?

it's more for vaginitis or yeast infections than a BV, technically. i had some success when i used it when i had cervicitis -- the pain went down long enough that waiting for the doc appt wasn't too bad.

I'm sorry I have nothing to add, but the cheerios thing sound so sweet. I don't know how else to phrase it, but I think its...sweet.

I don't think I could be that sweet if my partner said his favorite food was Kix, I would be like no... pick strawberries or something..

I don't think I could love someone that much, I find it sweet.

And I am being totally honest, not trying to tease.

Have you had any pain in the last few days? Not just in your vag but in the general tummy area.

I mean this could be far off, but that sounds kind of like lymph, which could be from a popped cyst or something of the sort.

Its the crusty stuff that you get on healing wounds. It's also the stuff that comes out of some blisters and stuff.

I've had cramps and didn't know what was going on so I mentioned it when I went in for my pap and she diagnosed me with BV. I didn't have any other symptoms, but it would fit in with the yellow discharge you're experiencing.
