okay, this is not vagina related, so feel free to skip or point me to a community where it might be more appropriate, but i know you womyn are a wealth of info so i figured someone here might be able to give me some pointers.

i'm interested in trying a hair removal product for *leg* hair, and i'm sorta looking at that new thing, called VEET. has anyone used this? if so, what was your experience? if not, what DO you use for chemical hair removal?

secondarily, i am using self-tanners this year. can i apply my self-tanner after removing the hair, or should i just scrap this plan entirely and go for shaving?

i've never done either of these things before, and i'm attempting to surprise my honey, but i don't want to end up all patchy and chemical-burned.

ETA: thank you so much for all your responses!!! i was frankly surprised that the most consistent response was that the skin gets burned and there's still hair left behind. i imagined a slew of success stories. i'm so glad i asked. thanks again, everyone!
