quick question... i am a worry wart..

ok for starters, i have been on the pill for years, im on yasmin right now. i had sex with my boyfriend last night and we also used a condom, but when we were done, it leaked out(on me). i know i should be protected on the pill, but i am still very paranoid. should i be worried? TIA...

If you take the pill properly, there should be very little to worry about.

The pill is designed to be your sole form of protection. Users may of course wish to supplement their protection with condoms or other forms of BC, depending on how worried they are about pregnancy -- but with perfect use of the pill, using another method is more for peace of mind than for actual physical protection. The amount of protection added to perfect use of pills by the additional use of a condom is very small. You have nothing to worry about in terms of pregnancy protection.

My boyfriend and I have been together for two and a half years, I'm on the pill and we have never used a condom. Have sex most days and never been pregnant :)

You are fine. Don't worry :) I know it's hard, but try and remembeer this: women use the pill as their only firm of birth control (me included!) and successfully. I know I, for one, (I say this alot, I think, to help other ladies realize that it's okay) have taken my pill EXTREMELY late on a number of occasions over the many years I've used them, and have never been pregnant or even LATE. And, especially seeing as the ejaculate just spilled ON you and wasn't released inside of you, your risk is even lower.

Please try not to stress; you are not pregnant, I would bet a million dollars!
