[identity profile] ateip.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] vaginapagina
I checked other posts but I couldn't find anything directly related. I spoke to the pharmacist today about my YI and got some cream and applicators (I'm not really game enough to try any home remedies yet) for it. My period ended today so I thought it was better (not to mention less messy) to start it after my period. I inserted the applicator and pushed the majiggy in to get all the cream out, but I don't think I put it high enough. I was really tense because the applicator was really wide at the end so it scraped and hurt a bit, but I managed to get it in about 3 inches. Now, my vagina feels really warm, and it feels like something's about to come out of it (ie the cream) but it's not. Is it possible that I haven't put it in far enough, and the scraping + cream is what's causing the warm feeling? Did I put too much cream in? I couldn't feel it when it first went in, but gravity isn't suspended in my vagina, so maybe it's just slid down? It's not itchy or sore, just warm and feels a little uncomfortable, or is it that I'm just not used to it so it feels weird? I use tampons on a regular basis (only when I'm desperate) so I'm not entirely used to sticking things up there, so it's possible that it just feels weird...

The cream applicator thingy I used when I had it last was made with disposable applicators and you filled them right up with cream and I had topour the ENTIRE thing into my vagina.

Mine said to use RIGHT before going to bed, I think thats so I would be lying down and less would leak out cause I had the same thing as you it'd come out, I sneezed once after putting it in and jesus christ that made a mess in my undies didnt it.

I think its pretty normal for it to come out when you think about anything that is fluid that goes up there comes back out . (ie sperm and it can travel pretty far)

I found it uncomfortable i can't remember about the warm part though I wasn't paying that much attention because mine was a wonderful xmas pressie from santa along with the tonsilitis he gave me at the same time.

Were you taking Amoxicillin for your tonsilitis? Every single time my doctor prescribes me Amoxicillin, it gives me a yeast infection, so I usually ask him for a prescription for that at the same time.

and to the Original Poster: It's pretty normal for it to leak out, I don't think it's because it isn't far up enough. Just remember to wear a pad or panty liner because I've ruined so many undies with yeast infection cream. I don't really know about the warm feeling, though.

I was I was on a REALLY high dosage too, but I had the thursh before i got the tonsilitis I had just changed birth controls and had had sex for the first time in AGES like months and using a condom.

I'm BADLY prone to tonsilitis like I get it around at leat 4 times a year, they still won't take em out.

That all sounds totally normal to me. I did a YI one day treatment back in '04 and I had no idea what I was doing. :) Everything felt warm and oozed out. It still worked, even though I felt incredibly squishy!

I always found those applicator things so hard to get in properly! It's weird, because I've had much bigger things in my vag (i.e. penises), but it always felt difficult to get the right angle so that those stupid applicators would go in. I don't think you put too much in, as you are supposed to fill the applicator and use it all, but it will definitely leak gross greasy white stuff for a while.

Yeah that sounds pretty normal. Just don't stand upright for a while or you'll encounter something akin to a dam bursting and all the cream will come out. It's not comfortable. So if you have to stand up and walk around I highly recommend a pad or something.
As for the warm feeling, its probably the cold cream warming up to your body temperature. Give it a lil I'm sure it'll stop one it's used to being there :)
