Hey all.

I'm going to be visiting my boyfriend in Scotland soon, and I have a question for those of you who live in the UK. I'm a little grossed by the thought of lubed condoms, so we have seen searching for a place that sells unlubed condoms... to no avail.

Any help? Anyone know where we can find unlubed condoms in the UK? Anyone know brands that are better than others? Or at the very least, condoms that, while lubed, are very lightly lubed/not overly... "ew"?

I know I could buy a box here and bring them with me, but I would really rather not.

I have never seen unlubed condoms ever, period. I'm totally intrigued!

...There may be some somewhere in this country, but nowhere I've been. Sorry. :(

Look through mail-order, if you run a search through Google UK you'll find plenty of places selling condoms, and after that it's just a matter of finding unlubed ones. There are also ways of getting free condoms, for instance most universities supply them, Family Planning Clinics, some doctors, and there's the C-card scheme. Not sure if those include unlubed condoms, but it's worth a try. Which part of Scotland is he in?

I've found that condoms marked "ultra thin" usually have less lube on them and are obviously thinner so it feels less like your actually using a condom.
That said though I'm from Australia so I don't know what condoms in the UK are going to be like.

I've never come across a condom that Didn't have at least a light coating of lube on them, I think the lube also helps with the storage of it to prevent the latex from cracking up etc.

I personally don't think I'd like the idea of using an un-lubed condom the whole reason me and my boyfriend use condoms is because of the lube already on it and it saves us having to get it all over our hands.

Oh yeh and lupie yeh I did that giggled and played with it heaps, actually me and some girlfriends did that a couple of weeks back when we were organising my friends outfit for her hens night and had flavoured ones.

If you do find some unlubed condoms (and yes, they do exist) you should definitely buy lube of your own for them. They are much more likely to break unlubricated, and that kinda defeats the whole purpose. Personally if I needed condoms for vaginal use I'd buy them unlubed and put glycerin-free lube on them, because I think most condoms come with a glycerin lube and those give me yeast infections like mad.
