My boyfriend has only felt it once during PIV sex, but does feel it if he fingers me. He has told me specifically that it doesn't bother him at all, but just in case your partner can feel it, I would reccomend telling them you are on it first so they know what it is if they feel it. Otherwhise that could be quite startling for them.
Also, I have skipped my period successfully with Nuvaring, and I've also done 4 weeks in, 1 out so that I had 5 week cycles. I've found that personally I prefer the second option because when I was skipping periods, my cramps were a bit worse when I had my period, but both worked fine for me and were options my GYN gave me. The very first month I was on Nuvaring I spotted when I tried to mess with my cycle, but since then I haven't had any problems.
