With respect to the whole "ring out for 3 hours" thing, I should probably point out that I've called the Nuva Ring hotline a couple of times and spoken with two different representatives about this issue. One told me 3 hours per 24 hours, like the post to which you linked; another said 3 hours per 3 week cycle. I know that I'm not the only one who's experienced conflicting advice from the Nuva Ring reps.

I don't know which irks me more: not to be able to find a conclusive source for this, or the fact that even the manufacturer's hotline isn't a conclusive source. :(
