while it's true that you can get pregnant any time during your cycle, and every woman's cycle is different, there are some generalizations we could make. say you start your period on the first of may, a 'normal' cycle would have you ovulating around the 14th, and you are most likely to get pregnant for about five days on either side of ovulating, taking into account the life span of eggs and sperms. all this being said every woman is different and you are the best judge of these things, and will have more decision making tools if you are familiar with your own cycle.
