I just looked it up in the drug interaction checker linked from the VP sidebar, and this is what it said:
"acetaminophen and ethinyl estradiol-etonogestrel (minor Drug-Drug)
Description:
Oral contraceptives may decrease or delay the effects of acetaminophen by increasing glucuronidation. With the usual therapeutic dosage, concurrent administration probably results in no significant additional risk."

If you read that carefully, you'll see that
a) If there is any interaction between the two, the nature of the interaction is that the ring might interfere with the effectiveness of the acetaminophen, not the other way around.
b) Even if there is an interaction, it is unlikely to be significant.

So you really can take tylenol while using the ring, and it really won't interfere with your protection from pregnancy.
