itchy vag

ok, so on friday i had unprotected sex for the first time. (i'm on BC so i know i'm safe as to pregnancy) he came inside me. well, now i'm a little itchy. i dunno if it's happened to anyone else.its not very detailed, i just wanted to highlight the affected part
the purple (no my vag isnt really purple) is the itchy part. is this just a reacion to the semen? it was the first time it's ever come (lol!) in contact with my vag
