Ok... I don't get all pissy and whiny and all that before my period. But AFTER??? Holy hell. Avoid me like the plague. I am a bitch on wheels. Every tiny little thing drives me through the roof.

FOR EXAMPLE TODAY 2 of the many things....

Receptionist received our supplies order in from Grand and Toy. As I am passing the doors headed to the bathroom, she tries to stop me to give me my dryline white out. WTF do I need that in the bathroom for??? Deliver it to my desk like you are delivering all the rest of the stuff to the other people in my department!

I recieved a phone call from my aunt. Asking for my brother's address.
WHY WOULDN'T YOU CALL MY BROTHER TO ASK HIM FOR HIS ADDRESS????

oy... I think I need a drink but I already had all my starches for the day >:|

Does anyone else get like this?? What can I do about it?

ps I am not on hormonal bc

Evening primrose oil does a fine job evening out my hormonal mood swings.

No, I don't. I take it 3x/day during menstruation and ovulation, and usually 1x/day the rest of the time (but I have depression, so I'm taking it for that as well).

Ugh. No fun. I get pre- and post- irritability. For me, it has been helpful to let myself get irritated, but to remember it'll pass soon enough.

Sorry it's not very helpful. I understand the aggravation, though.

Uh. I wasn't trying to be a condescending ass. Sorry if you took it that way.

I personally don't use anything because nothing has really worked for me. It's just accepting I'm gonna freak out, telling people I'm gonna freak out and moving on.

There is Cyclease by Boiron that might help. It was recommended by an associate at Whole Foods. I could never tell if it did anything, though. I was still hyper-bitchy even using it.

Good luck.

I am definately like that. I don't get cramps or irritability before my period, but I do for a couple days after.

It's not unheard of.

Ahhh! You know, this is the first time I've made that connection. I've been SO edgy and irritable for the past few days, which happens to coincide with the end of my period.

i don't think menstration has anything to do with getting angry at either of those.

they are stupid requests and would logically annoy anyone. :)

I'd get angry at that no matter what time of the month it is. That is ridiculous!

If you really think it's your hormones talk to your doctor about going on the pill. The pill helps with my moodiness so I only want to kill myself and everyone else 3 or 4 days a month. Evening primrose like st johns wort did absolutely nothing. I have a feeling that most herbal mood treatments and depression treatments are just placebos and that's why they work for the midly depressed and moody. Don't even get me started on the miracles of antidepressant medication. Ugh.

Just curious, why do you think horomones are so terrible? I think antidepressants and ineffective herbal treatments are the devil!

Well, there are lots of different types of hormonal methods, which have wildly difficult effects on any one person. For example, the first pill I tried was indeed the devil for me (my sister's perfectly happy on it) but the second one's worked just fine. It's entirely possible that there's a hormonal route out there that would work for you - and equally possible that you've tried everything out there, but you didn't mention doing so.

Anyway, there's a difference between saying something didn't work for you and calling it satanic ;)
