I'm scared I might have HPV. Sore bumps appeared around my pubic region and just above the top of my clitoris. I've only had one sexual partner who would've been the cause if I do have it. He, however, has had more sexual partners than I have, and as we're no longer seeing one another, and if I do have it, what should I do?

First, calm down. It's likely an irritation.

You are going to need to get tested. Make an appointment with your GP or gyno, or go to a local clinic.

If you do have HPV, you will need to tell your previous partner, because it is likely he has spread it without knowing. Your doctor will inform you about treatment of outbreaks. But until you know what this is, try not to think on it. Again, it is very likely to be an irritation. The only way to know for sure is to get tested.

Best of luck.

sounds to me like you're having some sort of allergic reaction or irritation is that type of cream is helping you out. Do you use scented soaps? Lotions? Change detergents recently? It's best to use unscented soaps on that region and only water on the actual vulva itself. Also, sometimes overnight, women can develop a sensitivity to their fragranced or harsh detergents. Try switching to All free and clear. It's cheaper than going with something like Dreft, which is usually recommended by doctors (as it's primarily used for babies) but the All works just as well. If changing these things doesn't work, make an appointment with your doctor. And, since your previous partner had partners before you, I'd also recommend getting a full STD screening (if you haven't already) just for your own peace of mind.

But if the bumps are disappearing with your cream, it doesn't sound like HPV to me.

i just use soap on the outer lips, and lots of washing with plain water on the inner regions-soap has too much of a way of irritating ladyparts.
