Medical Care in NY

I was just approved by medicaid/medicare for health insurance purposes following a loss of my health insurance after being kicked out of my stepfathers home, however even before that, I had not seen a doctor for anything for at least a year or so. When I requested my immunization records from my pediatrician, I actually had to wait 3 days for them to be found in the archives. I'm looking to hopefully find a doctor and gynecologist in the new york state - suffolk county or nassua area on long island who is relatively young, {I feel intimidated when older persons tell me what I should be doing as a result of the issues with my stepfather and other issues}, and who will accept medicaid.

I need to see a gynecologist probably more so than a doctor unless the doctor can double as one; for the last seven or eight months {I am eighteen}, my periods which were once a breeze{started in fifth grade, I just graduated highschool} have become a nuisance, and despite taking vitamins with iron in them, I get drained, experience severe cramping{I almost missed a play rehearsal because I was literally so tired and in so much pain that I didn't want to move}, and to top it all off, it has begun to switch start days and I tend to spot a day before for an hour and then nothing until the next day. It has been drving me crazy, my mood changes in a flash and I have snapped one too many times at my boyfriend when he has least expected it.
