Burning/Swolen?

I had sex last night, and I know its normal to be a little sore afterwards, but this time its a little bit worse than usual.

It burns when I pee still, the morning after, and i'm thinking its a UTI becuase I had one before from having sex, but it also looks a little swolen down there.

Should I be worried about this at all or are these all just normal things?

Things might have been a little rougher last night and you might've gotten some small tears that are now swollen and sting when urine contacts them. I would say give it a day or two and drink tons of water, and if you're still burning, make an appointment.

could you tell me more about the small tears things? i was wondering if that was possible. my hormones are all of whack and i don't produce much lube on my own, so i'm thinking that could be the issue?

Small tears are generally microscopic, so you wouldn't be able to see them if that's what it is, but they can certainly sting a lot. Someone else mentioned bruising and a rough sex session could get you bruised and swollen. Lack of lubricant definitely makes tearing much more likely. In future you may want to try a water-based lubricant during sex to keep things nice and moist and prevent tearing.

Are you still having burning when you urinate, though?

i take depot lupron, which knocks out all of my hormones (for endo), and without those- i really don't have any natural lubricant. i'm wondering if i should use a little lube each day- with or without sex so that things aren't always so dry. i just tested that out an hour or so ago- and already things feel a lot better.

That's a good idea. Dryness is no fun, and a little lube daily and a lot for sex can make things a lot better. :) Good luck!
