Burning/Swolen?

I had sex last night, and I know its normal to be a little sore afterwards, but this time its a little bit worse than usual.

It burns when I pee still, the morning after, and i'm thinking its a UTI becuase I had one before from having sex, but it also looks a little swolen down there.

Should I be worried about this at all or are these all just normal things?

maybe you already know this, but peeing right before and right after sex prevents UTIs.

you also may want to wait it out if it's only the morning after.
drink a lot of water/REAL cranberry juice too to prevent/treat a possible UTI.

I don't mean to sound rude, so please take what I'm saying as gently as I mean it...

but peeing right before and after sex does not ALWAYS prevent UTIs. I just think it's important to get that qualifier in there because sometimes people get UTIs from sex no matter what they do.

However, the gist of your statement is correct: Peeing after sex can significantly reduce the risk of getting a UTI from sex.

(and I'm expanding here for the OP, because you seem to already know this part ;-) Doing so right before sex helps flush away a lot of built up bacteria and debris that could get forced into the urethra during sex. Going after helps flush out anything that may have actually been forced up there.

As a side note, I've discovered that the more female ejaculatory fluid I make during sex, the less likely I am to get a UTI--IF I go pee right afterward. If I don't, the UTI is murderous. But at least for me, female ejac + peeing after=all clear.

i get a UTI EVERY time i have sex, and my doctor gave me a cippro to take before (mood killer) or after (either way a mood killer). i don't get a UTI.

but....if you have a yeast infection...it's also going to burn like hell. or if you're not lubed up enough (i know this from experience) you can get little cuts, etc. fun!
