You know, I've looked into all the ups and downs of cervical mucous and its relation to your fertility, but I have never ever seen anyone even begin to comment on this:

What does your cervical mucous look like when you're pregnant??

Some info I found. My mucous turned a yellowy color when I conceived and never got to that dried up phase of my cycle. As a matter of fact I produced tons of "fertile" mucous after conception. I don't know if it scientific or not but it was me.

Here is the info: Charting your cervical mucous is a good way to keep track of your fertility. You can check your cervical mucous (CM) each morning when you use the bathroom. Many times the consistency and appearance of the mucous is obvious when you wipe. Feel it between your fingers to check the consistency. At the start of your cycle, your cervical mucous can be thick and creamy. Within a few days prior to ovulation, your mucous will turn clear and slippery, similar to raw egg whites. When rubbed between your fingers, it will be stretchy and stringy. This is your "fertile mucous". This type of mucous is specifically designed to provide nourishment for the sperm and aid in motility. Without this "fertile mucous" the sperm may not be able to survive long in the vaginal canal. After ovulation has occurred, your cervical mucous will be thick and pasty. Your mucous may even dry up as your period approaches. When you are pregnant, your body produces more cervical mucous.

My experience was different. I found mine dried up, a bit, but not as much as it would have between ovulation and menstruation, but I had a runny nose from about implantation to about week 14. At week 14, my nose dried up, and I had a huge increase in the state of my vaginal discharge. I lost my pregnancy at 18 weeks, so I don't know what would have happened after that, though, and I expect the next pregnancy may be totally different.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I can assure you every pregnancy is different. I have three daughters 15, 9 & 3. Each one was different, I don't know if it was age or circumstance. I thought the last one was a boy for sure but she was not. Good luck to you!-K

Thanks. I'm looking forward to trying again as soon as I get an all clear from my midwife.

Mine has dried up after ovulation, then after the implantation bleeding (at around 10 days post-O) I got copious amounts of a wet but creamy CM that lasted through the pregnancy. This happened in each of my three pregnancies so far.

Copious amounts, creamy. Trust me, I'm 38 weeks along and ready to get back to the normal stuff.
