You guys are going to hate me for this, but I have yet another yeast infection question.

Timeline:

Tuesday 23 --> I realized I had a yeast infection ( a reallllly bad one) so I went to the doctor... he prescribed me three doses of diflucan.

Tuesday 23 - Thursday 25 --> Take a dose of diflucan each night before bed as well as use the three day monistat.

Thursday 25 - Sunday 28 --> I did everything right... no sexual contact, kept things clean and dry, wore loose fitting cotton. But I've been having a white discharge... it's pretty much the same color as the yeast discharge just thinned out a lot, it's pretty water. I only get tiny bits at a time, and I'll notice it maybe twice a day. I also think I've been getting random twitchy itches (if that makes sense) but I think I'm just being paranoid over the Yeast Infection. So ladies... do you think this could still be the yeast infection? The itchiness is gone, it doesn't look too red anymore, but this discharge is really scaring me. Should I maybe go for another dose of monistat? I'm kind of scared to do that though, because my vagina/vulva began to get really irritated at the end of all the meds I took.

Also another quick question... I was talking to my mom about it, and she said sometimes she'll get very minor yeast infections that will usually go away on their own (is this even possible?) but they usually take a little over a week. So maybe there's hope for me and I shouldn't be panicking yet?

Help!

I'm really sorry to post another YI question but I'm kind of freaking out because this one was so bad. Maybe I'm ridiculous but when i get yeast infections, maybe it's because they're so bad but it's almost like they effect me emotionally. It's sooo itchy, I feel unclean down there the whole duration of the infection, I hate not being able to masturbate/have sex... just everything about it is almost depressing. I just need it to go away!
