when to start new birth control

vaginapaginai posted earlier this week about having taken ECP nearly three weeks ago, having my period a few days after that, then starting HBC and having spotting when i should have had my period. that was last week. THIS week i have been bleeding HEAVILY for the past three days for NO reason. next week is my off week.
this is my first (and last) month on yasmin. my doctor and i are trying to find a pill that agrees with me. (nice to be a guinea pig). i called her today to tell her that so far in the past three weeks on yasmin i have felt SO lethargic i don't want to do anything, i don't want to have sex, and then there's the excessive bleeding. so i am supposed to stop by her office tomorow to get a sample pack of loestrin. i have two good friends who LOVE loestrin so i am keeping my fingers crossed that it will work for me, but who knows.
my question is, should i start the loestrin this sunday, even though next week is supposed to be my off week? i mean i am technically on my period now anyway, and the thought of being on my period for another week is making me crazy. i forgot to ask her on the phone and she doesn't work on fridays. i will probably ask the nurse in the office but i thought i would get opinions here too.
i am just SO tired of bleeding...this happened to me about 6 years ago when i went on orthocyclen and i seriously spotted for about 7 weeks. i am NOT doing that again, plus this is not spotting...this is filling up my divacup about every 12 hours.
