In march i began taking the pill for the first time. i told my gyno i wanted it to ease cramps, because they were UNBELIEVABLY painful. [By painful, i mean me laying on my bathroom floor clutching my stomach and crying, or on other occasions, my mother having to take the spork from my hands to prevent me from scraping my uterus out.] The gyno gave me Estrostep. I began taking it and all was well. ofcourse there was the initial getting-used-to-it phase but otherwise nothing bad, and i havent missed any pills.

tuesday i went to take my pill and thought i was up to placebo week, but as soon as i popped the placebo pill i noticed my last active pill for that day. [i take my pill at 6 am, and my alarm woke me from a dead sleep. it was a somewhat understandable error on my part.] i took the active pill as well and went about my day as usual. Wednesday I didnt take anything because i had already taken that placebo pill and everything was fine. This morning, i got up and took my placebo pill. My period started as would be expected, and i was fine until around 12. Then the cramps started. I mean serious, painful cramps just as bad as before i ever started the BC.

so my question is this:
I was expecting my cramps to be little to none at all so having them this bad came as a mild shock to me. Was this just caused by my body needing more time to get used to the pill? Or could there be something else going on here?

Thanks so much!
