Clitoris Pain

This is a bit of a weird question. I did check the archive, the FAQ and the tags and I couldn't find anything on it; I would have tried google but you try searching for "clitoris pain" and see what you get. So here it goes...

Tonight, just a few minutes ago, I started getting throbbing pains in my clitoris, especially the tip of it. Throbbing as in dull pain, it's not sharp, but it sort of feels like someone's squeezing it too hard, but not enough to be a pinchy sort of pain. I'm not sure why, I haven't masturbated in at least a week, haven't had sex since Saturday, haven't injured myself somehow. There's no reason I can think of that would make my poor clitoris throb.

Any of you lovely ladies have any suggestions?

I've heard of women having some pretty severe ouch when they have a kernel of smegma stuck under their clit hood. Can you dig out a mirror and take a look to see if that could be the problem? If it is, you can remove it with your fingers, a washcloth, a q-tip, or whatever works.

Thanks for the advice, I was able to get a hardened bit of smegma out from under my hood. I wouldn't have thought of looking if you wouldn't have said that. Thanks. <3

It also did that when I had a yeast infection =(

Yipes. Thankfully I think mine's just the smegma; yeast infections are nasty things.
