Alright, so with the exception of the past week or so, I've been having amazing, wonderful sex with my girlfriend. As in several times a day, I think my record was eight orgasms (I multiple) in one day - for about a month straight. However, about a week ago (right after my period) I noticed first that my vagina was smelling a little different and second that she was way way too sore to have penetration. So we gave her a rest for a week. However, it's been a week and my vagina is still too sore for penetration. When I say penetration, I mean fingers, normally 1-3, sometimes 4. We use latex gloves during sex and occasionally water based lube. Also, I use the diva cup during my menstrual cycle.
Some things that I have considered:
- Too much sex, we do have somewhat rough sex. Would it take more than a week to heal up though? I don't normally have sex when I'm on my cycle (not because I have a problem with it, mostly because I think its just my body telling me to take a break), so really its been more than a week.
- Allergy to an ingredient in the lube? We switched up the lube right around that time because we ran out of what we normally have and only had access to the KY water based they had at the CVS.
- Allergy to the latex gloves? I've never been exposed to this much latex before (we went through a box of 50... well, in under 20 days. ehum.), but it doesn't cause a rash or anything on my hands.
Does anyone have any thoughts? I'm in college and I don't have access to my gyno. And the RN at my school is an idiot. When my friend told her she was a lesbian, the RN replied - "Oh, good, that means you can't get any STDs." Yea. I know, that was my reaction, too.
edit: Oh, there's no bleeding or spotting, either. Just soreness and a few spots where the texture of my vagina apparently feels different as well (according to my girlfriend). Also, this is just my vagina - hers is fine and dandy.
