Nifty Vulva Amulets from Japan!

I lived in Kyoto, Japan for four years and I discovered a temple called Chokenji dedicated to the buddhist goddess Benzaiten who is the patroness of Art, Music, Beauty, etc. The best part about this temple is they sell a coin-shaped amulet that has an image of a vulva on it! It's supposed to "give birth" to good luck, prosperity, etc. There are several penis shrines in Japan but this is the only vagina charm I have seen so far... I became friends with the abbot of the temple and he gave me a bunch to bring back to the US to share....




The coin front! Many Japanese coins have a hole in the middle so the hole is kind of amusing...and there's a sanskrit inscription where the clit should be!


The back has the goddess's name and the temple name on it.

Where is the temple exactly? I lived in Moriguchi-shi in Osaka Prefecture for a year and I can't believe I never found a vulva-loving temple after all that time!

It's called Chokenji in Fushimi Ku, near the Chushojima station on Keihan- not far from Moriguchi I think?! Very beautiful area with river canals and sake breweries...I miss it alot. The temple itself is not devoted to vulvas, they just sell the charm...The Abbot Okada San is a very nice dude, you should go there if you get the chance and tell him you know Bianca!
