hey..i know this has probably been asked before...but i cannot find it. i have a vibrator and i have no clue how to clean it! water and tissues doesnt seem to work cause the tissue gets stuck. i tried hand sanitizer and it smelled clean...it just had stuff all over it (i havent cleaned it in awhile and the more i wiped the more stuff got on)... i really need to clean this thing but i havent got a clue. my bf called me for phone sex and because of what i used (the hand sanitizer) i got so dry i couldnt put it in! i had to poor water on my vagina tgo get it in...finally after the 5th orgasm or so i finally got wet on my own. ...
...basically how am i supposed to clean the thing and actually get it clean? and not get dry afterwards?

If the vibrator is not waterproof then you have to be very careful not to get water in or around batteries or the motor. NEVER immerse a non-waterproof vibrator in water. To properly clean your vibrator make sure you get all the crevices and ridges. Alcohol can be used on hard plastic vibrators but avoid using alcohol or alcohol based products on rubber, as they may dry out and damage the surface. We recommend Adult Toy Cleaner for the best care of your adult toys. Clean your vibrator following each use. DO NOT submerge your vibrator in water unless it is waterproof. NEVER dip electric (plug-in) vibrators in water. Don't get water into the battery compartment of your vibe or you could damage the motor and other parts. If you do happen to get the inside of the vibrator wet, open it up; take out the batteries and blow dry the interior until completely dry. Wipe off the batteries thoroughly. Leave the vibrator opened with the batteries out over night. Always make sure that the toy is dry before putting away. Also it is a good idea to let your toys air dry rather than toweling them off.

also, you probably shouldn't put it straight into you with cleaner still on it, you could end up with a yeast infection or something. no matter what you use, rinse it off thoroughly and dry it before either store or use it.

When you wash it, hold your fingers in a ring at the top (where the battery compartment is) and twirl the vibe back and forth in the ring formed by your fingers, being careful not to get soap in the battery compartment. Then when you rinse it, hold it on an angle and turn it to rinse off the soap, being careful not to get water inside it.
Also, it's made of silicone, not rubber. When I went to buy one, I made sure to ask them for ones that weren't latex, because I'm allergic to it.

Date: 2006-02-07 11:04 am (UTC)I find the swabs convenient because they are easy to rip open and store in my nightstand, and I don't have to worry about spilling the bottle of alcohol etc. And the alcohol dries quickly, and doesn't irritate like soap residue can. ^_^

Date: 2006-02-08 02:31 am (UTC)it's best to use a toy cleaner or if you can't get any, use regular soap that will rinse clean. rinse really well and rub the toy with your hand under the water to make sure you're getting rid of all soap residue. shake off excess water and air dry.
