A friend of mine had sex 4 times since her last period and had some really light spotting a few days ago. She's not taking birth control and apparently all they did was pull-out. She's not due for her period for about another week and she's really freaking out that the spotting was from implantation bleeding, what should I tell her? Thanks everyone

Really there isn't enough info here to be able to tell you much. I'd suggest posting over at [livejournal.com profile] am_i_pregnant, fill out their survey & they should be able to give you pretty good answers.

I'm not sure when she had sex, however if it's been 14 days since she had sex she could take a home pregnancy test. It can be accurate that early. I'd then give it a week & if her period doesn't come & the previous test was neg, I'd suggest testing again.

There's nothing she can do but wait. It's very possible the spotting was from implantation bleeding, no way to know until she takes a pregnancy test. She can take a test the day her period is due (waiting until then yields the most accurate results). Also tell her that withdrawl meathod is not very effective, it's only 70% at best, with typical use. That means 3 out of every 10 women who try this meathod get pregnant. She needs to use birth control if she doesn't want to become pregnant.

Nobody here can really say if she is or isn't pregnant. Without birth control and just using the pull out methods her chances of being pregnant are pretty high considering she didn't just do this once, she did this more than once.

She has to wait, if she gets her period, great, if not I'd suggest a pregnancy test.

She really needs to get on some sort of birth control..its extremely irresponsible to be having sex without any birth control especially when you aren't trying to conceive. www.plannedparenthood.com find your local one and take her there and tell her to get on something, or to at least buy condoms.

...yup, certainly get birth control for future, and if her period never comes, I and others have taken larger doses of vitamin C, plain old vitamin C, maybe two or three grams more than you usually take per day for a few days, and by god it really did bring my period maybe a week or two early, after I took the stuff for maybe three-four days. Then afterwards my period keeps coming at that same time period. This is supposed to work with or without pregnancy, and isn't expensive, and doesn't make you sick; you might have the runs if you're not used to it, and you don't want to do it for more than the few days it takes to push it along because in theory it could put a strain on the kidneys, and do drink a lot of extra water because that's how it is eliminated from your body, by peeing, but...for a freakout, it helps a lot...it helped me! Good luck to her!
