Ladies, what's going on with my vagina?!

I'm 19 years old, a sophomore in college, sexually active since the age of 16. I've had problems with UTI's throughout the years, but nothing more vagina-wise.
I had the same sexual partner from age 16 to 18. Last summer I added partner #2 to my list, my now boyfriend. We used a condom, and the next day my vagina was very irritated and red. Conveniently, I had my yearly gyno exam a few days later. She diagnosed me with BV, gave me a prescription, and sent me on my way.
In November I was mis-diagnosed with strep throat (thank you, college nurse practitioner). Since I found out I DIDNT have strep in the middle of my antibiotic treatment, I had to continue with it. I also noticed burning/itching symptoms 'down there'. I just assumed it was the BV again, so I refilled my RX that I had over the summer. When it didn't get better, I freaked out. I was at school, couldn't go home to my doctor, and I was thinking worst-case scenario. I thought I had some scary STD or something. I ended up going to the ER (i had no other place to go!) and after 3 hours I found out I had a yeast infection. I felt pretty dumb because it's definitely not ER material.
During finals in December I felt the BV again. I had to wait to come home to see if I really had it. I was all confused -- did I have BV or a yeast infection? For some reason I can't tell the two apart. I went to the docs and it was BV. I got the treatment.
Now here I am.. and I don't think the BV went away during my last treatment. I'm going back to school tomorrow and don't have time to go to the doctor's. I'm hoping to get a refill of my prescription.

So what's going on? In the past 5 months I've had more problems with my vagina than in my whole life. Is it the new partner? Hormones? Too many antibiotics? I'm getting pretty sick of it -- it makes me feel dirty! Is this just something that happens when you *gasp* grow up?? Thanks ladies. I appreciate any insight :)
