vaginapaginaThis is my first time posting... I've been really nervous about it, but I love this community and how much more I'm learning, so I thought I would now. I read the FAQ and the Archive, and the only thing I could find related to it was a question of who has and hasn't had sex on their period.
Anyway, I was wondering if there was anything I should be worried about when I do? I don't think I want to when my flow is heavy, because I'm scared of there being a big mess. Am I more prone to some sort of infection, though? I'm in a monogamous relationship, and both my partner and I are STI-Free, but I'm worried about bacteria. Is it a better idea to wear a condom? I am asking a lot of questions, but I only have one more... Is it true that your chances of getting pregnant are lowered when having sex on your period, too?
