Worrying about a single days stubble sounds to me like one of those things that only you notice! Like being paranoid about looking tired, having scruffy hair or only wearing your old shoes and not those new ones you really want but can't afford yet. People who are about to have sex with you are the least likely of anyone to notice these things! Think how lucky he is to be seeing you naked in the first place.
Also, lots of people who shave do it much less frequently, and don't consider themselves to be unreasonably stubbly!
