hello, i'm new, and i've two questions:
1. i suffer from chronic UTIs, and just recently went to the doctor to treat them (before, i wasn't entirely aware of what they were, and so just flushed them out with water). i am now on a week-long, two-day regimine of cipro, and was recently informed by my boyfriend that he has been suffering from painful urination as well. however, he did what i doing before, and just flushed the bastards out.
is it possible that i infected him with the horrible little beasties? i've discovered that UTIs in men are something to be worried about, but he doesn't seem to want to get his ass to a doctor to find out/get medication.
2. after much blistering (too much rough sex) on his penis, one of the blisters developed into a small bump of skin just below the head of it. he is wary of this bump, and believes i gave him an std. :( i did not, though, as i've always had protected sex with std-free people.
what could it be!
thanks. :)
pee ess: sorry about the "clean" thing. ;)

Date: 2005-06-27 04:52 pm (UTC)I've read some places that if you've had sex with three or more people, you need to assume you've been exposed to a strain of HPV, because as much as 60% of the sexually active population are carriers.
Just spreading information! Good luck with the infections, what a bummer. As for his bump, sounds like it might be some scar tissue.

Date: 2005-06-27 05:08 pm (UTC)In VP, part of our safe space policy includes avoiding words like "clean" when taking about being STI-free, because using the word "clean" implies that those with STIs are "dirty". Would you mind changing the wording in your post?
Thanks!
