If something along these lines has already been posted and answered, I would appreciate some pointing in the direction of where to find an answer, otherwise, I need help! =)
So I've been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for around 9 months or so I believe. This past month, I decided that I'd change the scheduling that I take the pill and instead of doing "Sunday start" I would start doing the "Day 1 Start" (just for the sake of peace of mind for myself when I'm sexually active). However, I have just run into a problem! I started my period today. Now, normally, I wouldn't care, it wouldn't be a problem. However, it's starting on the 23rd day of the pack, and I was almost positive that it wasn't going to come until next week sometime!
The reason why this is a problem: it's going to be more of a problem in about a month and a half. You see, I'm going overseas on Monday, and well, when I get back, I'm not going to have seen my boyfriend in 3 months. You can imagine what I'm planning already, haha. I just realized though, with counting the dates if this happens again, I'm going to be starting my period again the DAY that I get back. Not good! Not good!
So what I'm wondering is...should I go back to the "Sunday start"? It seems to me, that even though I started on the "Day 1" I still got my period about 2 days after I started taking the sugar pills (which is what normally happens on "Sunday start"). Or is there even maybe a way that I can take my pills in which I won't even get my period when I come back??
Any help on this topic is appreciated!
Just because I don't want this getting really long...I'm also curious if the time change is going to screw up the way that I take the pills? I'm going to France, and so there's about a 6 hour time difference, I usually take my pills right when I wake up in the morning, and obviously, I'm not going to get up at 4 AM every day to take pills and stay on schedule! Haha.
So I'm wondering if this will be a problem, or if when my body gets adjusted to the time change, it will just think of 10 AM France time as 10 AM United States time?
Thanks a bunch again!
