That was my main reason, because BC is so expensive. I am always fully stocked with condoms, though, that's not a problem. I actually never knew Planned Parenthood provided BC free/on a sliding scale until someone commented about it on this post - but I guess it does make sense. I also didn't know FAM had a 20% failure rate. I just had a child, I don't know how fertile you are (or for how long) after childbirth, and that's my main drive for wanting BC - NO MORE KIDS (lol).
I've never tried a diaphragm, and I have no idea what Lea's Shield is. Female barrier methods never really appealed to me, but perhaps I should look into them.
