So I have a rather weird (and maybe base) question...

Is it better to wear panties or not?

If one doesn't like the idea of going commando, what is the best type of panty to wear? (Such as style)

And if you feel so led, share any other panty information/stories that you might know...
(Also, if this has already been discussed, don't turn me into anything... unnatural...)

I have tried going commando but don't like it. I don't like the way my pants chafe me, and I don't like how sweaty I get when I'm not wearing underwear. I prefer a lowcut bikini that's nice and breathable. I don't worry about panty lines, I just want to be comfortable. Someone posted a link to some nice looking silk underwear that also looked pretty nice.

It's all about the comfort, for me.

While searching the wonderful world of Wal*Mart, I came across a 5-pack of "no boundaries" underwear~ they're mesh, bikini, and extremely comfortable. Not to mention pretty colours. =D

Very breathable, very comfortable, very pretty.

I've been buying them ever since.

If you don't like going without during the day, try doing it just at night.

Third. I can't get into wearing no underwear in the day time, like at work (my old roommate used to go commando, even when she wore a skirt), but with PJs it's fine.

But then I get girly juices on my pajama pants...and if I had a particularly *interesting* dream then I'll wake up and there will be an actual wet spot visible, and I like walking around in my pajamas for awhile and not having to change immediately. Underwear soaks up the flow.

well the main thing is that your vag needs air! It suffocates down there, which causes sweat, which causes other bad things to happen. . . so, if you have to wear panties, make sure that you wear cotton, lace or mesh! (Making sure that the guard part for dribbling on the lace and mesh is cotton) - cut's not that important. Thongs tend to ride and your vag doesn't really like that.

Like the other person said, try going without at night. Sleeping naked is actually really comfortable. You don't get pj pants tangled around your knees, your nightie riding up, etc.

I am very prone to get yeast infections and so just don't wear underwear at all. Took me a little time to get used to it, but I actually like it much better. Cheaper too, because you're not out buying new panties every few months. I really only own about two or three pairs and those are for when I am having really heavy flow months and need to use some backup absorbancy!

It feels odd, though, to wear a bra with no panties. But like you said, I suppose you get used to it.

Humm, I wear panties during the day (not at night) but I never wear a bra (well, on average once a month), and it doesn't seem odd to me. I guess it is just what you get used to.

I second the sleeping naked point. I saw people reccomending it on here a few weeks back, and decided to try it.. I havent looked back since, its great!

Although I do now have lots of redundant pyjamas...

I use pajama pants to do yoga in or if I have an early morning class, etc now that I don't wear them to sleep in.

I like it the few times that I've done it, but I live at home with my parents and it's not exactly a good idea...

i can not imagine going commando. i get so scared of chafing.

i really like microfiber underwear. that's what i usually wear, its really thin and breathable. and of course plain ol' cotton.

It is better to not wear panties at night, because it gives your labia and vagina time to "breathe". It reduces the chances of getting a yeast infection. During the day is probably more dependent on the woman. Some say it's all chafey without them, but I do prefer to go commando, just cause I like it. Cotton or silk panties are the best, because they let the most air circulate around the goods. Some people find that thongs give them yeasties and other infections because it's easier to transfer bacteria between the anus and the vagina. Besides that, everything else is just a preference!

My urologist told me not to wear thongs because they can be a cause UTI's and then I saw this special on tv about the same thing. So "regular" cotton panties are good, I like those cut little boyshort ones, but the majority of the time I go without because I have UTI issues and I only used to wear thongs.

I love going commando...especially underneath skirts/dresses and loose fitting pants. Feels "free" and comfy...and I never sleep with underwear on. I find it helps me not get yeast infections as everything is able to "breathe". hehe

I don't think I like commando.

I love boy cut underwear, usually cotton. So comfy!

I adore being without panties. I've been going commando for 4 years straight and I'm fairly certain I'll never ever go back. I adore it. :c)

No more wedgies. It's great.

i think as long as there is a cotten crotch it is just style preference and what works correctly with your outfit. though sleeping without is a must for me.

The most important thing is to let your body breathe. If you wear panties, make sure that the crotch, at least, is cotton. And thongs can transfer bacteria from your anus to your vagina and urethra, which is bad.
I recommend sleeping without underwear under your nightclothes, or sleeping naked altogether.

Most of the time I don't wear panties, but occasionally when I do, I wear a bikini bottom panty that's pretty comfortable.

At night I sleep naked, and I love that.

I wear my pants a bit big--I *hate* them to be so tight that the crotch seam is, er, at my crotch--so I can and do go commando quite comfortably. You get a little discharge in your pants, but generally not enough to worry about; it's better than having a damp pair of panties up against your skin all day.

When I wear baggy pants, I love to wear boxers because they let me breath, but it won't cause chafing at all. So comfortable!

i prefer wearing underwear, and i usually wear low cut string bikinis (the bikinis with very thin sides), cotton. This is the most comfortable for me.

I never wear panties, I find them annoying at this point. When I do wear them, like in skirts & things when I feel like I have to, I always wear really light fabric panties in like a bikini cut. My favorites are the mesh types from Victorias Secret. I've always heard cotton is best, but whatever suits you is what you should wear. Some people like none, while some like thongs or even boy cut. Whatever you feel comfortable in is whats best. :)

I wear thongs or boy shorts during the day, and change to bikinis or boy shorts at night. But they're generally cotton or at least cotton-crotch thongs, so I can get some air flow.

Personally I like 100% cotton undies in a bikini cut. Someone posted a few days ago about silk undies being great also...I've never tried them though.
