Hey everyone, I have kind of a problem...
Just a few nights ago I had unprotected sex with this guy, it was my first time...

At first, I wanted to do it, then about 5 seconds later I got all freaked out thinking about if he gets me pregnant so I told him to stop, and he stopped... The problem is, I know pre-cum has sperm in it, and I was wondering what the chances of me being pregnant are? I'm really scared. Any information would be much appreciated.

also is there any way that you guys know of that I can get birth control pills without my parents knowing about it?

I feel that I am ready to have sex,

but my parents would freak 'cause they're really overprotective.

Condoms are a good idea while you're waiting to get pills. The pill protects against pregnancy, but not STDs.

Go to Planned Parenthood TODAY!

They can give you a morning after pill that will make sure you're not pregnant, AND get you on some birth control, all without your parent's knowing about it.

But get there, and get there quick. You've only got 72 hours to take the morning after pill.

Just to add to my post, and let you understand the urgency with which you MUST get to the doctor...I got pregnant TWICE by pre-cum. No joke.

Go take care of yourself, please.

agreeing with the other comments--go to Planned Parenthood and get the morning-after pill ASAP, because there's any number of chances that you could be pregnant. and they can put you on birth control there without your parents' permission, though according to my doctor, it's probably a good idea to discuss it with your parents in whatever terms you can manage. I got on birth control through the health center at my college and told my parents it was to regulate my period--which is the reason a lot of girls go on it, and a perfectly acceptable reason to most parents. the reason that it's good for them to know is that if on the off chance that you were in an accident of some sort and had to go to the hospital, someone needs to know what medications you're on. it's just a better idea to come clean about it (even with an excuse) than to have your parents accidentally find out later

Ditto, ditto, ditto. And so you know: Planned Parenthood will ask you if you want to get mail notification of various test results from them, or from a "friend" whose name they will give you - so they can send you a postcard from a "friend" named "Susan" or whatever, with a coded message about your results. They really care about protecting your privacy, and they do a really good job. They'll probably want to do a PAP test while you're there, but it's not any big deal - it's to make sure that you're okay.

One other thing: big kudos to the guy for stopping when you told him to! Ideally, it wouldn't even be an issue, but I've heard many (especially younger and less experienced) men say "Oh, I was already inside her, what was I supposed to do? I just couldn't control myself." I'm very glad to read about a (presumably teen) guy being responsible about such things. :) Though he could've been more responsible, and insisted on using a condom.

i second what people are saying about planned parenthood. i have been going there for 10 years and they rock.

get the morning after pill and take it.

you can get pills from planned parenthood without your parents knowing/consent. i am pretty certain. but the pill takes a month to kick in, so in the meantime use condoms!

good luck =)

you can also call 1-888-not2late for a list of pharmacies that carry PlanB (morning after pill) over the counter. In most states it's available now without a prescription. It's most effective within 72 hours after unprotected sex, but studies are now showing that it can be effective for up to five days.
Planned parenthood is an awesome resource for birth control and std/pap screenings. It's totally confidential and they can offer you birth control (not just the pill) on a sliding fee scale that can even be free.
good job accessing your resources!

For folks over 16 they I'm certain that they offer subsidized birth control. In washington state there is a program called take charge that will enable you to get free birth control and gyn visits..even vasectomies for guys!

that's very interesting ... especially about the vasectomies!

out of curiosity, do you happen to know if men go through the same rigor women must before getting a tubal? i.e. the speech about "changing your mind" and a psychological evaluation, etc?

it varies by doctor. I have referrals for many doctors in the seattle area that will perform tubal ligations and vasectomies for anyone that wants one.

all this talk about pregnancy... what about STDs, yeah pregnancy is bad and all but STDs can kill you, never have sex without a condom no matter how much you know the guy.

and i suggest going to a clinic and getting tested immediately for any sort of STD, they can either kill you or make you unable to have kids.

get the day after pill see your GYN then immediately go to the clinic and get tested for STDs.
