Discahrge, the flu, pregnancy?

I read the archives and found a few things but I want to run something by you guys anyway..

Last friday night I got really sick. My body ached to pieces, I was dead tired, every single gland in my throat was swollen, I had a headache and a runny nose and a 102 degree fever. I was also nauscious. I am assuming that what I have is the flu. I nearly threw up last night and then this morning I actually did. However, this is very likely due to the fact that I had not eaten anything in forever and took medicine on an empty stomach. Then, just a few hours ago I was getting in the shower when I noticed that I had an insane amount of discharge. It was thick and pure white with no smell at all. I feel totally normal aside from obviously being sick. However, I had sex for the first time about 11 days ago on Feb. 2nd. everything went fine and all and I take my birth control correctly. We had a spermicide covered condom and everything. But being the worry wart that I am I am a little worried.... could the discharge be from me being sick, or could I be pregnant? I'm not on anti-biotics and I don't itch or hurt at all so I don't think it could be a yeast infection... any wisdom?

if you have no discomfort and its the consistancy of.....well...snot, its becasue your sick.
your vagina has the same type of phlegym (sp?) glands as your nose...or atleast thats what my freshman yr health teacher told me.
so when you get sick you may tend to have a discharge as you discribed.
if your still worried...or it continues to happen days after u are sick...go to the doctor get checked out...it cant hurt anything.

I second the above comment. Whenever I get really really sick, I get discharge like what you've described.

I vote for the discharge being from illness, too. it sounds like you were very ill, and we don't just get sick in our sinuses.

Thank you all so much, as usual you put my mind at ease. I've just never had discharge like this, and never when I was sick so being me, I was worried. Thanks a lot :) btw, split_the_sky, the little skeleton of hello kitty is adorable.

If you're taking your pills correctly and using a condom correctly, your chances of pregnancy are next to nothing. Your discharge is probably flu-related.

a reason the discharge might be thick is because you were dehydrated. i had really thick, almost pasty discharge once when i had a stomach flu and lost a lot of water.
