Antibiotics and BC

vaginapaginaI didn't see anything in the archives about this, and I get just as annoyed as anyone when the same question shows up three times in one day, but here's my question:
I'm on Amoxicillin for a throat infection. So I know that a) I am going to get a yeast infection and b) I'm not protected from my BC. So I didn't fill my Yasmin persrip. at the beginning of this week because obviously I won't be having sex in the next couple of weeks (And my insurance doesn't cover it.) So do I just take this month off? I don't want to because I just took a month off in Sept. and I get side effects when I do it.
I've talked to my gyno about this in the past when I had a pregnancy scare, and she said to wait until my next period. but since this isn't a pregnancy scare can I "sunday-start" mid-month?
