hi, i currently have my 14th yeast infection. Diflucan has a habit of making myself feel yucky, so i decided to go to K-mart and see what my options were. I ended up with traditional Monistat, which i can safely say did nothing for my cunt but make it burn. i have half a homeopathic treatment left, but i'm not sure how decent it is. My first question is, do any of you know anything about yeast guard? is it effective, or does it sucessfully not do anything? another question- does anyone know of any effective homeopathic treatments that are herbal or DIY? i really want to try something new, and expand my expertise on the subject, considering the fact that my doctors still hafven't figured it out, and it's my body, so i better be an expert on healing it's wounds.

thanx!

I used to have yeast symptoms as part of every cycle but I haven't experienced any symptoms in my last six cycles. I attribute this to taking acidophilus pills every day. I can get them at the grocery store or drug store around here; I think a "health food" kind of store would be likely to carry them most places. The ones I'm taking right now say they have 10mg of Lactobacillus Acidophilus in each capsule, and I take one each morning with my multivitamin and calcium pills. I also stopped drinking cow's milk at the same time I started on the acidophilus, so that may be related. I would like to say that I've also reduced my sugar intake over that period, but my efforts there have been half-assed at best.

Good luck fighting this - yeast is yucky.
