Somewhere I heard that sex on your period is good for you. Can anyone list me some why's and hopefully pull up articles or sites or well, factual proof that I can point to? My snookie and I are well aware that there are benefits but we're not sure of them.
I also think it'll be a great tidbit to pull out during a dinner party conversation, "Did you know that.."

For me, sex just before my period sometimes "seems" to help get it started. Sex during your period can help sooth cramps (orgasm, and pleasure sooths physical pain because of endorphines) and aide the cleansing process; If you cum, then your juices will help wash out the blood. My boyfriend hates it though, he's squeemish about any kind of blood at all. But in the past, period sex was very helpful.

My boyfriend, on the other hand, absolutely loves it. Sometimes he gets very tender (he so cute!).
I also get a lot..A LOoott of oral sex when I'm on my period. That sure as hell keeps the cramps away.

your boyfriend give your oral sex while you're on your period? that's so nice of him. if i'm spotting, my boyfriend will have sex with me...but only if i initiate and take the reigns. and even then, he's a little oogied by all of it.

Am I the only person for whom orgasm makes cramps worse? Tried it once and wound up almost screaming in pain--I felt like I was being stabbed by knives, the cramps got so intense.

Dun get me wrong--I love period sex. But only after the cramps are gone!

Anyway, just curious if I'm a freak or something...

No, you're not. It probably just affects you differently.

For me, orgasm and sex sooths the cramps.

But then... I used to "punch" my abdomen to make my cramps feel better (this was when I first got them, not now... yikes no).

Our bodies just like/hate different things, so they react differently. Like for example, some people hate those hard massages some people give and think they hurt. I love em. :D

medieval europeans believed it, too. hysteria is literally the disease of the wandering uterus. (when i finally noticed the root of the word hysterectomy, i didn't know what to do with myself.) nuns were admired because they condemned themselves to a life of aches and pains without allowing themselves the cure.

Well it feels really good, I'm always really horny on my period, I can't think of any physiological reasons why it would be good for you. Except that it would probably help with cramps because of all the good painkilling hormones that are released.
