Miscarriage?

Is it possible to have a miscarriage and not know about it? By that I mean not have any problems, no pains, nothing, not even knowing you were pregnant in the first place? The reason I ask is because about a year ago I passed this HUGE clot, probably about the size of my fist, and my period was no where near due. After that I bled, like a medium-type period, it wasn't real heavy. But if I can remember correctly, it only lasted for a couple days, and when I have real periods, I get them for 7 days. I've just been thinking about it a lot lately. Are really large clots normal?

Maybe I'm just retarded, but I heard it is possible, and you guys are great with this stuff.
