Brown discharge grossness

I get a brown discharge about a week before my period normally. I'm not sexually active and i discussed this with my doctor and he says it's just dried up blood or leftover blood from my last period, which makes a lot of sense since I only get it if I miss a couple pills or if my period is short (which it tends to be).

Still, it's gross and I hate dealing with it. I was wondering if there was anyway to get rid of this junk or extend my period (I'm on the pill already) or something?

It actually sounds like a side effect from the pill. I've noticed that i get it as well, usually when i start to spot before my period, so i know what you're talking about. There isn't really a way to make it go away, as long as you're only getting it during your placebo week right before your period, you'll just have to deal with it. Otherwise, if you're getting it during your hormone week before your placebo week, you might want to change pills.

Yeah, I get that too, usually not until after my period though but there's so much I consider it still a part of my cycle. This month though I got it for like 2 days before it started though which was weird, I guess because I just went off the pill. I just use tampons to deal with it, but that's because I get a LOT of it, and it stains, you could try pantyliners?
