Abnormal bleeding worries

Hi everyone,

I posted last month about some abnormal bleeding I was having and got some really helpful advice. I was hoping it was a one-off, but it has happened again this month. It's basically a small amout of brown/reddish brown discharge a few days before my period starts. Last month I also had (I think) a small amount of bleeding after sex. The reason I'm not sure is that the lighting was poor in the bathroom I was in, and it was only that one time. I haven't been sexually active this month.

I went for a sexual health screen 2 weeks ago and was diagnosed with BV. I have taken antibiotics for that. The results came back clear for everything else. The nurse asked about my most recent pap smear and as it was this year, she didn't do one. I'm a little worried about that now, as I did have a new partner, my first new partner in 7 years, in January and the test was (I think) in February or March. That relationship ended in March and I have had one other partner since then, in October. I have had many, many abnormal pap smears in the past (CIN 1 or 1-2, no treatment). After several clear ones starting in 2012, I was told I had cleared the HPV virus and was no longer considered high risk. The thing is that having had new partners, I was surely exposed to HPV once again? Perhaps between January and now, something has developed? I know I've been good at keeping on top of everything, and my next scheduled pap smear isn't for another two years, but what if this is cancer or HPV related?

Slow rising HCG concern

I had HCG levels drawn at 4w5d (2514) and 5w0d (3002) which obviously didn't double. I had an ultrasound at 5w0d as well, all due to some spotting and cramping. Ultrasound was fine, showed a gestational sac measuring 5w with a "possible yolk sac", no cardiac activity and no fetal pole (normal for 5w).

The spotting has subsided, as has the cramping for the most part but I'm concerned about my HCG. Doc was mildly concerned, but since the US was measuring on schedule, we chose not to repeat HCG and wait for an ultrasound at about 8w (booked for 7w6d). A decision I'm very much starting to regret and I'll probably call tomorrow and ask him to write up a couple more requs, because the wait is driving me up the wall.

Looking for some reassurance (especially success stories and medical lit) that things may turn out okay for us over here.

ETA: Could being more well hydrated for the second draw have affected the results? I drank 1L of water before the second test because of the ultrasound whereas I don't think I'd had anything to drink but a cup of tea before the first one.

Edit2: weird news...betas yesterday (Dec 4) were just over 5100 (did not double in a full week) but on ultrasound, there was a 3mm fetus with a strong heartbeat. I don't know what's going on, but I'm staying cautiously optimistic! This whole pregnancy thing is a roller coaster of emotion.

Feeling frightened! Very bad irritation

Hi everyone, I feel a bit a broken record as I post here quite often about the same thing, but I'm really struggling and this is such a supportive community I find it so helpful!

Anyway, to put things short since April I've had a heavy sticky/tacky white and sometimes yellow curd like discharge, which at times soaks through my underwear and leaves me feeling very unclean. My vulva has been dry, itchy and swollen. I also seemed to have developed a rash on both sides of my labia minora, it seems like tiny papules. This has been constant, I've been to the doctor and was tested for yeast and bv twice but they always came back negative. I thought it may of been irratation but I've stopped using products and yet the problem still persist. My GP has told me it's probably normal but I really don't understand how it can be.

In the past week I've been in a lot of pain, my labia is red and it feels as if it's cut all over (despite there being no visable cuts) and I am extremely itchy, also the discharge isn't making things any better. I looked things up on google and freaked myself out, as a lot of people were talking about the cut like feeling being symptons of Herpes. I've questioned if this could be because of a STD many times before, but I'm in no way sexually active but I worry what if I had touched someones hand who may of had a coldsore and then touched myself down there, I don't know how likely that is but I'm at total loss at what I'm going through and I'm extremely distressed and depressed about this.

I'm wondering if STD's can be caught only exclusively by sexual activity or can it be transmitted in other ways? Sorry if I sound naive but I can't seem to find a clear answer and I'm so scared!
