Hi!

My boyfriend and I are in a long term monogmous relationship and have decided to ditch the condoms, I'm on my second nuvaring (I used to be on the pill and we would use condoms, but I wasn't very good at taking them on time). I have a few questions/concerns and was hoping someonen could help out.

1) Is there sperm in pre-cum? He tends to produce a lot and back in high school they told us that you could get pregnant from pre-cum which makes me a bit paranoid.

2) How effective would pulling out be with the nuvaring approx? He knows when he's going to go, but I know sometimes he squirts a bit.

I wanted to ask at the uni. health clinic but they stress condoms + birth control and won't entertain talking about just relying on the ring as a form of protection, and basically say you're not well protected if youre not using a rubber. :(

Thank you!

Hello VPers!

Back in January(ish? maybe February) I had an abnormal pap. Colposcopy and biopsy later, I have low grade cervical changes with high risk HPV. Back in April/Mayish, I started developing some warts towards the bottom of my vaginal opening, just above the perineum. They've become, what I feel, to be quite ample and bountiful. Normally, they don't present a problem. I can feel them sometimes during sex, or when I wipe in the bathroom, but it's nothing more than, "Oh, hey, sup guys." I have been to the gyro for a yeast infection since the warts appeared, and my gyno basically acknowledged they were there when I brought them up in a yeast-related question and that was it.

I'm unsure right now what my cycle is doing (I'm on a new HBC that I'm skipping the placebo pills on - per my gyro - that I'm really not happy with, but I'm biding my time with it right now while I figure some other things out), but I suspect I'm on the equivalent of a PMS bend right now, which means more sensitive skin (this HBC I think makes me especially sensitive, but that's neither here nor there). So now when there's any amount of pressure, it hurts. Not like writhing in pain hurt, but enough to notice. It's especially painful during sex and wiping, which makes for a stressful relationship with my boyfriend and general bad days for me.

Is there anything I can do to help relieve some of this pain and sensitivity? Would moisturizing with coconut oil help?

Unrelated question -- I'm prone to yeast infections and dry skin. If I moisturize my vulva with coconut oil at night, is that trapping in enough moisture into my vagina to increase my risk? What else could I use?
