Stories: Good things about Mirena.

Hey ya'll.
I've read A LOT about the Mirena IUD, but while I've gotten some good facts, I've also seen a lot of bad reports and stories that are, frankly, concerning the living shit out of me. I actually rescheduled my appointment from today until next week to try to get a handle on my fear, and I'd like to not be terrified when I finally have one installed. I'm working on a more in-depth post about all the stuff that's gone down in the last month, but for now, I just need some support and some positive stories to tug me away from the anxiety I feel about pretty much everything medical and reproductive related. The Planned Parenthood clinic I'm working with has been super supportive, but I feel like they've glossed over some of my concerns, or I didn't articulate them well enough to make it clear that the pain levels involved and insertion procedures are going to be *big problems* if I have to go through what some of the awesome V-fans here have reported.
I can't afford to miss more work because trying not to conceive again triggers me into flashbacks I can't control, and I know the women at the PPC can't help with what's going on in my head at any given time. Control of that is all up to me.
So, does anyone have a Mirena and love it? Did anyone *not* bleed like crazy, cramp for days, vomit and flashback on the table, or have to have it removed 3 months later because it migrated/implanted/made your personality change completely? People tend to talk more about and remember more of the bad than good, so I'm asking specifically for happy, or at least neutral experiences.
Thanks everyone!
EDIT 28 June: Holy bursting Inbox, Batman! Thank you all for the well-wishes and stories. They've helped. I'm still scared, but less than I was. My appointment is on Monday 1st July, after which point I'll have a (likely) lengthy addition to the archives. You are all Superstars. :)
